Big Sky is a tucked away community in the Rocky Mountains of southern Montana. It’s known for alpine skiing and downhill mountain-bike trails of the Big Sky Resort. In the heart of town, Ousel Falls Park has a waterfall, picnic areas, and fantastic viewpoints. Southeast of town is Yellowstone National Park, with its wildlife, hot springs, and gushing geysers. To the northeast, the choppy Gallatin River cuts through the rugged Gallatin Canyon.

Bozeman is located at the foot of the Bridger Mountains and a short drive from Big Sky. Montana State University’s Museum of the Rockies traces the area’s history and offers world-class exhibitions. It houses the Siebel Dinosaur Complex, with a notable collection of T. Rex specimens, and a planetarium. The nearby Bridger range to the north, and the Spanish Peaks to the south, have trails for skiing, biking, and hiking.
