St. Patrick's Day in Bozeman

Bozeman is a fantastic place to be on St. Patrick’s Day! Keep reading to see some of our favorite ways to celebrate the holiday in this great town of ours.

Run to the Pub

Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with Bozeman’s annual Run to the Pub 10k and half marathon on March 14. Run to the Pub has been voted the #2 half marathon in the U.S. by Runner’s World, and best of all, everyone who crosses the finish line will be entered to win a trip to Dublin, Ireland to compete in the Dublin Marathon! It’s become a favorite local tradition over the years and you won’t want to miss out on the fun, even if you’re just cheering everyone on! For more information, visit www.runtothepub.com

The Bacchus Pub

Located in the historic Baxter Hotel in downtown Bozeman, the Bacchus Pub serves traditional pub fare and has a full bar with plenty of beer on tap to help celebrate St. Patrick’s Day. It’s a great place to grab food, drinks, and hang out with friends in a laid-back atmosphere.

On March 17th, head to the Bacchus for its annual St. Patrick’s Day Party featuring the green carpet & photobooth as well as gift card giveaways. They’re opening early on March 14th (at 9 a.m.) to celebrate Run to the Pub as well, so be sure to take advantage of that!

Last time I visited the Bacchus, my family and I ordered the Bavarian Pretzel and Poutine Fries as appetizers. I don’t think I’ve ever seen or tasted a more delicious pretzel, and the beer cheese was perfect. The Poutine was fantastic as well, and it had just the right amount of gravy: plenty of flavor, but not soggy.

I ordered the Corned Beef & Cabbage for dinner, a true Irish classic, and was not disappointed! The corned beef had amazing flavor and paired perfectly with the cabbage and other veggies. The Reuben looked great as well, and the house chips were so good. You truly can’t go wrong with anything on the menu.
