Salted Caramel Cafe

If you’re looking for a great restaurant to visit with friends for breakfast, lunch, coffee, or some yummy pastries, you’ve got to go to Salted Caramel Cafe. Located near the parking garage on Mendenhall Street, it’s a great place to catch up with friends before continuing to explore downtown Bozeman. As a college student, once I finished working downtown and needed to go to class, I would stop by for a coffee to go and a fresh pastry. I was never disappointed! Salted Caramel handcrafts their own coffee, and when you look at the menu there are a lot of options to choose from. If you don’t know where to start, try my favorite: the Nutella latte.

When you walk in, you will be greeted by the employees who will instantly make you feel welcome. It’s the perfect place to warm up after being out in the Montana cold. The layout of the cafe is spacious and welcoming, and usually, you can seat yourself. If you go to the very back and take a right, you will find my favorite spot, complete with sofas by a cozy fireplace. If you love the sitcom “Friends” like I do, you’ll feel like you are in your very own version of Central Perk. The chef, Megan Romano, is a pro at creating flavorful and delicious cuisine. She has years of great experience and has even opened restaurants in places like Florida and Las Vegas. Bozeman is very fortunate to have a chef like her! As you can see, the food is not only delicious - it’s definitely Instagram worthy.

The eggs benedict costs only $14 and is made on a delicious house-made English muffin, topped with black forest ham, spinach, sunny-side-up eggs, and hollandaise sauce and served with roasted potatoes. 

If you’re feeling more adventurous, try this fantastic option: KG’s fried chicken and creme brulee french toast! Complete with a berry compote, hot sauce, and sriracha honey. For just $16, this feels like a steal for the amount of wonderful food you get! 

I highly recommend ordering one (or five) of their pastries to take care of your sweet tooth. If you don’t, you’ll be missing out! Take a look at all the great stuff you have to choose from! They even have some gluten-free options. 

HOT TIP: Salted Caramel Cafe even offers mimosas, and on some occasions, they offer bottomless mimosas. Keep an eye out!
