La Chatelaine handcrafts all of its chocolates right here in Bozeman, featuring traditional flavor combinations such as milk chocolate and sea salt caramel, as well as sophisticated options like dark chocolate and dandelion root and milk chocolate with a strawberry balsamic filling. La Chatelaine has two locations, one of which is located in the historic Baxter Hotel downtown.

Grab Dinner at a Local Favorite
There are lots of fantastic options for dinner in the Big Sky Bozeman area! If you’re looking for something a bit more upscale, we recommend Urban Kitchen. Urban Kitchen is located in downtown Bozeman and features inspired American cuisine. Everything on the menu tastes and looks absolutely phenomenal. Make sure you go with people you’re willing to share with because you’ll want to try a little bit of everything! And make sure you save room for dessert.
For something more casual, Montana Ale Works is a great option. There is a wide variety of food on the menu, so anyone would be able to find something they like. Be sure to save room for dessert here, too - I recommend the creme brulee! Feeling like something more exotic? Dave’s Sushi has been a local favorite for years. They have dozens of options on the menu, but if you’re feeling spontaneous, ask for a chef’s choice roll - it’s always unique and delicious!
Keep in mind that even places that don’t usually take advanced reservations sometimes do for holidays and other occasions. Be sure to check ahead of time to see if this is an option so you can avoid a long wait!
Big Sky Lone Mountain Ranch Sleigh Ride Dinner
One of the best options around for a romantic getaway (or fun with the family) is the sleigh ride dinner at Lone Mountain Ranch. You will be taken to a cabin via a horse-drawn sleigh to enjoy family-style prime rib and huckleberry cobbler for dessert, all while enjoying live music. It’s a unique Montana experience that is sure to be a lasting memory. Reservations fill up fast, so be sure to book well in advance. You can even book the Sleigh & Stay package and stay at the ranch overnight in your own cabin to extend and enhance the experience.
A Cozy Night In
Sometimes less is more. Grab a bottle of your favorite wine and visit Maven’s Market for a delicious charcuterie board and chocolates to take home and enjoy while you avoid the crowds.
