Heyday

Heyday is a local favorite and has been since it opened in 2007. Located in downtown Bozeman, Heyday is the perfect place to grab a unique souvenir from a trip to the Big Sky Bozeman area as well as fantastic gifts for friends and family (or even for yourself!). 

A relatively recent addition to Heyday is their lineup of seasonal workshops. Each season, Heyday announces a set of unique workshops featuring local individuals and businesses. Some past workshops have included modern calligraphy, floral arranging, DIY skincare, macrame, and brush lettering. 

Last fall, I had the chance to attend Heyday’s Intro to Modern Calligraphy workshop featuring Bon Temps Calligraphy (you can see Collette’s work here: https://bontempscalligraphy.com/) with my mom. It was a great way to spend quality time together while trying something new and having fun!

Upon arriving and checking in at the registers, we made our way to the table set up in the back. They had provided complimentary snacks and wine which we enjoyed while waiting for the event to start. We then spent the next two hours trying our hand at modern calligraphy with the hands-on instruction of a professional. It was so much fun and definitely an experience we will never forget. We even got to keep the supplies so we could keep practicing once we went home! It went from being a fun way to spend an evening to becoming a hobby my mom and I still enjoy months later.
